How GraceKnot works
A simple guide to building your profile, staying in control of your privacy, and finding a partner within a trusted, church-verified community.
Creating your profile
You start with just a few basics - your name, gender, date of birth, and state. That's enough to get going. After that, add as much or as little as you like: your testimony, your family, your work, and what you're praying for in a partner. A completeness bar shows your progress, but you're never required to fill everything at once - come back any time. Add 3–5 clear, recent, modest photos; you control who can see them, just like every other field.
Who can see what - you decide, field by field
Every field on your profile has its own privacy setting. You choose one of four levels for each one:
Public
Anyone can see this
After we connect
Visible only after you both accept interest
My church only
Only verified members of your church
Only me
No one else can see this
If you never change anything, we've already set safe defaults for you: your contact details stay hidden, and your address is private.
Your phone number and social media are extra protected
Contact details are never shown to everyone. Even after you and someone accept each other's interest, your number still isn't shared automatically - there's a second, separate step where you each choose to reveal contact details. You consent twice before anyone gets your number.
Showing interest, and connecting
- When you find someone you're interested in, you send an interest. At this point they only see your public details.
- If they accept, you're connected - and the details you marked "after we connect" become visible to each other, and only to each other.
- If they decline, nothing further is shared.
- When you're both comfortable, either of you can take the separate step to reveal contact details.
There's no pressure and no rush. The platform is a starting point - prayer, family, and your pastor's guidance matter more than any match.
Church verification - why profiles here can be trusted
Verification has two levels, so no one has to wait on a church that hasn't joined yet. Every member who uploads a membership ID has it reviewed by our team, which earns the Admin Verified badge. When a member's own church has joined and its leaders personally confirm them, they also earn the stronger Pastor Verified badge. You may also see other trust badges:
Finding the right person - search and filters
You can search using filters that matter to you: age, location, church, denomination, education, occupation, willingness to relocate, and more.
- We only ever search and show details people have chosen to make visible - a private detail never appears in anyone's search.
- We never sort or rank people by wealth, land, or property.
Staying safe
- Never send money to anyone you meet here. Genuine families won't ask.
- Keep early conversations on the platform until you're comfortable.
- Involve your family and your church as you get to know someone.
- If a profile seems fake or behaves wrongly, use Report - church admins and our team review reports and can suspend accounts.
Our heart behind this
We built this so that finding a life partner within the body of Christ can be honest, safe, and prayerful. May the Lord guide you as you seek the partner He has for you.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5
