Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are creating a profile for yourself and not on behalf of another person. GraceKnot does not support parent- or guardian-managed profiles.

You may maintain only one active profile at a time.

GraceKnot is a platform that helps members of the Christian community connect for the purpose of marriage, with church verification as an optional trust layer. GraceKnot:

• Does not guarantee that you will find a match, that any information submitted by another member is accurate, or any particular outcome from using the Service.
• Is not a substitute for your own judgment, background checks, family involvement, or pastoral guidance before entering a relationship or marriage. You are solely responsible for verifying the identity, character, and background of anyone you connect with, and for exercising care when communicating with or meeting another member (including meeting in a safe, public place and involving family or your church where appropriate).
• Church verification and any badge shown on a profile reflect a good-faith review process and are not a warranty of a member's identity, character, or suitability as a spouse.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account that results from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

You agree not to:

• Create a fake, impersonated, or misleading profile, or misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or any material fact.
• Use the Service for any purpose other than seeking marriage, including solicitation, advertising, dating outside a matrimonial intent, or any commercial purpose not authorized by us.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or act abusively toward another member.
• Request or transfer money from another member, or use the Service to facilitate a financial transaction with another member.
• Upload content that is obscene, unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that violates another person's rights or privacy.
• Attempt to access another member's account, hidden profile fields, or private information through any means other than the visibility the member has chosen to grant you.
• Scrape, copy, republish, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attempt to circumvent the security or operation of the Service.
• Use the Service if you have previously been suspended or removed, unless we expressly permit you to return.

We may investigate and take action, including suspension or termination of your account, removal of content, and reporting to the relevant authorities, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You retain ownership of the profile information, photos, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service, and strictly subject to the visibility settings you choose for each field (see our Privacy Policy).

You are solely responsible for Your Content. We may review, moderate, or remove any content (including photos) that we believe violates these Terms, without prior notice.

Verification badges (such as church verification) reflect information reviewed by us, a church administrator, or both, at a point in time, and may not reflect a member's current status. You may report a profile you believe is fake, abusive, or in violation of these Terms; we will review reports at our discretion and may take action including suspension, removal, or referral to law enforcement where appropriate.

Core features of the Service (registration, building a profile, church verification, browsing, search, and a monthly allowance of outgoing interests) are provided free of charge. We may offer optional paid features (such as additional interest credits) and a voluntary contribution option, on the terms described at the time of purchase and in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Prices are shown at the time of purchase and may include applicable taxes. We may change pricing for future purchases at any time; changes do not affect purchases already made.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card, UPI, or bank account details.

We may suspend or terminate your account, at our discretion, if we believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, engaged in fraud or abuse, or for any other reason we consider necessary to protect the Service or its members, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If a church confirms that a member has been married, that member's profile may be archived by the church or by us.

The GraceKnot name, logo, and branding are the property of Cornerstone. The design, software, and content of the Service (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

The Service may reference or link to third-party websites or services (including churches' own websites and our payment processor). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites or services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information submitted by members, including verification status.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cornerstone and GraceKnot shall not be liable for:

• The conduct, statements, or actions of any member, on or off the Service, including anything arising from a contact reveal, chat conversation, in-person meeting, courtship, or marriage initiated through the Service.
• Any dispute, disagreement, harm, financial loss, or outcome arising from a connection made through the Service, or from a church's or church administrator's verification decision about a member.
• Technical failures, downtime, or service interruptions.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) INR 1,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cornerstone, GraceKnot, and our officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other members.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (such as an in-app notice or an update to the "Last updated" date above) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [City], [State], India.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
